He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Virgil Brecht and Dorothy Brecht; his wife Charlene (Rikard); his close friend Gerald Smith; his daughters, Rhonda Hanson of Angola, Cheryl Asmus (Jim) of Haskins and Michele Adams (Philippe) of Raleigh; his grandsons, Joe (Erin), Jason Asmus (Megan), Michael (Shelby), Sean Hanson (Anna), Andrew, Ryan and Alex; and his sister Joan Schey (Doyle).
