It is with sadness that the passing of Lyle W Pottebaum of Venice, Florida is shared. Lyle, born on February 4, 1938 in Carroll, Iowa, passed away on October 6, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Bill Pottebaum and Lillian Pottebaum (Timmerman); his wife Bernadette Pottebaum; his daughter Sandra Barker; and his siblings, Kenneth Pottebaum, Eugene Pottebaum and Kathleen Beh.
He is survived by: his girlfriend Sharon Maynard; his children, Julie Pottebaum of Chicago and Mark Pottebaum of Homer Glen, Illinois; his grandsons, Richard Barker of Homer Glen and Nicholas Barker (Whitney) of Jacksonville, Arkansas; and his siblings, Jerry Pottebaum (Lynn), Dennis Pottebaum (Robin), Dale Pottebaum (Jean) and Marlene "Marti" Lawler.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 16th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Farley Funeral Homes and Crematory - Venice (265 Nokomis Ave S, Venice, FL 34285). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 16th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the same location.
