It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Raissa Melnyk of Venice, Florida, who passed away on January 2, 2026, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Maria Hraur and Fedor Hraur; her spouse Anatolij Melnyk; her daughters, Svitlana Melnyk Kowal and Nadia Melnyk Gibbons (Kapalcik); and her grandson Travis Kapalcik.
She is survived by: her children, Lilia Melnyk Knight (Jim) of Lady Lake, FL and Ihor Melnyk (Lydia) of Holland, PA; her grandsons, Andrew (Allison Pease) and Roman; her son Walter Melnyk (Roberta) of Aston, PA; her grandchildren, Olek, Bo and Yuri; and her son Christopher Kapalcik.
