With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Richard Erwin Hitt of Venice, Florida, born in Berea, Ohio, who passed away on December 5, 2022 at the age of 90. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his daughter Pamela C.; his brothers, Franklin J. Hitt and Lloyd W. Hitt; and his father Wilbur S. Hitt. He is survived by: his wife Norma Jean Cochran; his children, Richard Jr. (Sally), Gregory V (Jan), Karen A (Hitt) and Keith (Gary); his grandchildren, Richard E. III, Carolyn M., Joshua P. (Rose), Timothy J. (Anisa), Trevor L (Ashley), Amber G (Vistein), Jamie R, Rachel M (Vistein), Tara N (Sall), Miller (Dan), Ryan J (Erin), Alexander J (Sall), Nicholas R (Sall), Cody J and Bradley P; his great grandchildren, Kaley E, Kyler R, Paul A, Heather R, Crew J, Oakley E., Harper G. and Theodore R.; and his stepgrandson Morgan M. Miller.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in his name to the Wounded Warriors Project, or Tunnel to Towers.
