He is survived by: his wife Phyllis; his daughters, Kristie Simmons (Ron) of Botetourt County and Kim Petty of Botetourt County; his son-in-law Jason Bramlett; his grandchildren, Taylor Carlson (Noah), Connor Bramlett, Josh Simmons and Jeremy Simmons; his siblings, Nancy Simmons (Richard), Sarah Rawlings (Glenn), Ruth Bush (Ed) and Charlie Petty (Pam); and his brother-in-law Gene Simmons (Phyllis).
