It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Shirley Ann Gooding (Venice, Florida), born in Tampa, Florida, who passed away on February 21, 2023, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Emory Lee Puckett and Edith Ruth Puckett (Smith); her brother Bob; her husband Charles Thomas Gooding, Jr.; and her children, Steven Thomas Gooding, Carol Ann, David Lee and Mark Charles. She was also cherished by family, including four adult children and their partners, eight grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
When Shirley and Tom and family returned to New York, Shirley became a research associate at SUNY Oswego, and in 1982 she accepted a position as Executive Director of the Oswego County Unit of the American Cancer Society, serving from 1982 to 1986.
