He was predeceased by: his girlfriend Rose Clark; his partner's daughter Jessica Grzywacz of Chicago, Illinois.; his grandchildren, Bradley Kuentzel (Caitlin), Samantha Prater (Gene), Christian "Trevor" Clauss, Chase Kuentzel, Mia Clauss and Andrew Kuentzel; his great grandchildren, Cayden Prater, Ayva Prater, Clark Kuentzel, Roman Gonzalez, Samir Gutierrez, Luca Gonzalez and Ayla Abbot; his parents, William O. Clauss and Leah M. Royer Clauss; and his siblings, Patricia Dennis, Barbara Curtis, Brenda "Sue" Clauss and Charlie Clauss.
He is survived by: his former wife Joyce A. Clauss of Catonsville; his children, William S. Clauss, Jr. (Douglas Blake) of Catonsville, Maryland, Concetta "Connie" M. Kuentzel (Edward "Chip") of Venice, Florida and Jay J. Clauss (James Della Penna) of St. Augustine; his siblings, Martha O'Herlihy and Walter "Tommy" Clauss; and his stepsister Bonnie Hulson.
