He was predeceased by: his parents, Manuel Alvarez Acosta and Amada Rosa Polier Trejo; his siblings, Osvaldo, Luz Divina and Raul; his siblings-in-law, Lola and Steven; his nephew Lizardo; and his grandson Nathan.
He is survived by: his wife Georgianna Wiese; his children, Nacrina Alvarez Blanco of Columbus, Ricky (Kristie) of Marysville, Randall "Randy" of Marysville, Roland "Rolly" of Columbus and John (Trina) of Simpsonville; his grandsons, Joshua, Bryant, Drew, Gabe, Chase and Peyton; his great grandchild Elowyn Rose; and his stepgrandchildren, Gisselle, Julio, Roger and Eduardo. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and a great great-niece.
