She is survived by: her nieces, Penny Mandell, Roz Ferber (Alan) and Laura Gundzik (Gregory); her great-nieces, Alexandra Owen, Marissa Bongo (Jared), Siobhan Mandell, Devin Mandell-Kloster (Wes) and Lauren Sunday; Stephen Ferber (Kaley), Cameron Bongo, Aldous Mandell Kloster, Joe Gundzik and Julia Gundzik.

Barbara was active in multiple organizations and when not giving her time, she was generously donating to promote causes to alleviate suffering both at home and abroad.

She inspired me and my sister Betsy Kaplenk (Owens) now deceased to be active in sports such as skiing and would often teach me tennis when she visited.
