It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Clara Mae Lewis of Vero Beach, Florida, born in Dorchester, South Carolina, who passed away on June 2, 2022, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Deacon Julius D. and Deaconess Nola Aiken Syphrett; her daughter Louise; and her siblings, Julius Syphrett, Gerean Thompson Cummings, Shirley Syphrett, Addie Britt and Abraham Syphrett.
She is survived by: her children, Carl Lewis and LaVerne Lewis of Vero Beach, Florida; and her siblings, Onell Green, Rye Syphrett (Cora) and James Syphrett of Reevesville, SC. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, family and friends.
