Dennis Hanisak Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Dennis Hanisak of Vero Beach, Florida, who passed away on May 7, 2024 at the age of 73. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his father Michael Hanisak, Jr. (Timothy Hanisak). He is survived by: his wife Linda Hanisak; his daughter Kim Unger (Ryan Unger); his grandchild Abby Unger; his daughter Stephanie Marrone (Michael Marrone); his grandson Cooper Marrone; his mother Dolores Hanisak; his brother Brian Hanisak (Stephanie Hanisak); and his nieces and nephews, Dakota, Logan and PJ.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Dr. M. Dennis Hanisak Semester By The Sea Memorial Fund (memorial fund link below), supporting young marine scientists and continuing his lifelong mission of protecting marine ecosystems.
