He was predeceased by: his father Geraldo Calderia; and his siblings, Dirce, Valmir, Maria Elena and Bessa.
He is survived by: his wife Sonia Alves; and his children, Fabiane, Fernanda, Vanessa and Fabio. He is also survived by eight grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.
