She was predeceased by: her parents, Albert W. Ott and Esther Shook Ott; her husband Joseph F. Miles; and her siblings, Rose Frey, Vera Ott, Mary Schneider and Al Ott.

She is survived by: her children, Michael Miles (Jennifer) of Cumming, GA, Kathleen Miles Dunmire (Joel) of Vero Beach, FL, Dan Miles of Knoxville, TN and Alan Miles of Butler, PA.; her grandchildren, Chris Miles (Jessica), Allison Miles Lee (Junsup) of Dallas, TX and Kimberly McCarroll of Miami, FL; and her great grandchildren, Kaila Canon of Rising Sun, MD and Olive Miles.
