He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmyra Stokes Emerson and Everett R. Emerson; his son Scott E. Emerson; and his sisters, Carol Weatherbee and Jeanne Scoville.
He is survived by: his son Lawrence D. Emerson, Jr.; and his brother Everett A. Emerson (California). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, grand nieces and nephews, and a grandson.
