He was predeceased by: his parents, Lester O. Thompson and Gertrude Siebert (Embry); and his sister Mary Lou Thompson Jolly. He is survived by: his wife Roberta Sue "Bobbi" Thompson (Fischer) of Vero Beach; his children, Lesley Thompson of Crested Butte, Lara Thompson (Ahmad) of Boston, Mac Thompson (Jessica) of Louisville and Amanda Dombroski (Adam) of Vero Beach; his grandchildren, Sabrina Alayan, Loren Dombroski, Ali Alayan, Yasmine Alayan and Sherrie Dombroski; his brother Harry E. Thompson of Evansville; and his niece Sherrie Hamilton of Lexington, Kentucky..
