She is survived by: her son James Monjar (Michelle); her son-in-law Edward Simmons; her granddaughter Lorianna Simmons; her brother Edward "Buddy" Kirkland (Carol); and her niece Kathy Carter. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
