She was predeceased by: her husband Stanley Wilson Merrell II; and her brother Donald Kirkley Stuart. She is survived by: her children, Stanley Wilson Merrell III (Lynne), Caroline Merrell Tucker (Jeff), Louise Merrell Middleton (Tom) and Katherine Merrell Denny (Jim). She is also survived by eleven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
