She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Evans and Effie Evans; her former husbands, John H. Guender and Thomas R. McGovern; her stepmother Doris S. Evans; and her siblings, Helen E. Dallmar and Robert B. Evans.
She is survived by: her husband Carson B. Smith; her sister-in-law Louise Ellis; her nieces, Martha A. Dalton (Frank), Elizabeth G. Neff (Keith) and Gretchen M. Dickinson (Marty); her nephew David E. Guender (Aimee); her grandchildren, Sarah E. Neff and John H. Neff (Kim); and her caregiver Edna Robinson. She is also survived by three great grand children, many nieces and nephews.
