He was predeceased by: his father L. Simpson. He is survived by: his children, Travis, Jessica Simpson of Bowling Green, Allison and Vince Grimsley of Wauchula, Florida; his grandchildren, Maddox Layne Simpson and Autumn Jade Simpson; his mother Ruby Powell; his stepfather Claude Powell; and his sisters, Yvonne (Danny Hensley) and Karen (Sam Albritton). He is also survived by ten nieces and nephews.
