He was predeceased by: his parents, James Thornton and Mamie Hodges Thornton. He is survived by: his wife Holly Fralish Thornton; his children, Jennifer Wheeler (Thomas) of Zolfo Springs, FL, Heather Fairfield (Tyler) of Wauchula, FL, Rachelle Hopper of Quincy, FL and Cesnie Heggie of Zolfo Springs, FL.; his sister Nancy Hensley of South Carolina; and his great grandchildren, Celeste Williams, Michael Youngblood, Miles Yates, Taylor Yates, Quinton Yates, Garrett Williams of Jordan Yates, T. J, Wheeler, Trinton Hopper and Sebastian Youngblood.
