He was predeceased by : his parents, William Ayers and Viola Ayers (Floe); his wife Ada Ayers; his son Jimmy Ayers; and his siblings, Elvis Ayers, Leonard Ayers and Carolyn Ayers.

He is survived by : his daughters, Ann Ayers of Frostproof and Pam Barringer (Jackie) of Wauchula, Florida; and his brother Ed Ayers of Arcadia, Florida. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren, and 4 great-grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Friday, April 19th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Robarts Garden Chapel (529 W Main St, Wauchula, FL 33873). A funeral service was held on Friday, April 19th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Robarts Family Funeral Home (529 W Main St, Wauchula, FL 33873).
