He was predeceased by: his mother Juanita Pelham Colson. He is survived by: his wife Anita Pelham; his father Buddy Colson; his children, Terry Pelham of New Zion, Ladusta Evans of Wauchula, Brandy Vansickle of Wauchula and Bobbi Virgile (BoBo) of Wauchula; and his siblings, Ray (Skebo), Thomas (Peggy), Pam Lewis of Sebring and Vickie Trammell Fort (David). He is also survived by seven grandchildren as well as five nieces and three nephews.
