She was predeceased by: her father John (Sophie Kelty). She is survived by: her husband Nicholas LaPlaca; her son Kenneth LaPlaca (Beth) of West Milford, NJ; her grandchild Jenaya; her sister Patricia Paladino; her niece Shannon (Carl Tulli); and her nephew Keith Paladino.
Visitation will be held on Friday, May 29th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Shook Funeral Home (639 Van Houten Ave, Clifton, NJ 07013). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 30th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the St. John Kanty RC Church (49 Speer Ave, Clifton, NJ 07013).
Kathleen was also a proud member of the Oncology Nursing Society, the American Cancer Society, and many other professional organizations throughout her distinguished career.
