He is survived by: his brother Mike Shumate (Gail); his daughters, Kim Shumate (Scott) and Sue Shumate; his son-in-law Andrew Brock; his nephews, Michael Shumate (Gabrielle) and David Shumate (Mary Lee); his grandchildren, Alex Brock (Erin), David Brock (Caroline) and Jost Rodriguez; and his great grandchildren, Jack, Charlie, Sloane, Eliza, Benjamin and Bridget.
