It is with sadness that the passing of Katherine M. Briody of Wesley Chapel, Florida is shared. Katherine, born on August 20, 1963 in Jacksonville, North Carolina, passed away on September 8, 2026. Katherine will be remembered for the time spent with loved ones and the moments that brought joy to those around her. She was predeceased by: her parents, Lloyd Wilber Melanson and Minty Corey Melanson; and her brother Kacey J. Melanson. She is survived by: her husband Anthony J. Briody; her children, Konnor T. Briody and Shelby G. Briody; her stepchildren, Stephanie M. Roberts and Zachary K. Briody; and her sisters, Kim M. Cutler, Karen M. Midgett and Karol M. Tetteron.
A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, October 8th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Loyless Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 from 1:30 PM to 2:00 PM at the Florida National Cemetery (6502 SW 102nd Ave, Bushnell, FL 33513). The military honors will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 at the same location.
