Marilyn Mickelsen Obituary
With sadness, we share the passing of Marilyn Mickelsen of Wesley Chapel, Florida. Marilyn, born on October 5, 1942, passed away on August 21, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Albert Mickelson and Edna Mickelson (Savela); her husband David; and her brother John Mickelson. She is survived by: her cousin Mary; her friend Kathy Ptaszek; her children, Paul Mickelsen, Steven Mickelsen (Alison) and Jane Christine Woryn; her grandchildren, Austin Woryn, Connor Woryn, Alyssa Woryn, Brady Mickelsen and Finley Mickelsen; her sister Joan Dwyer (Robert); and her sisters-in-law, Debbie Mickelson, Joyce Tibbs, Norma Nominelli and Fayth Wolfe. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 29th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM and on Friday, October 30th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 30th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Zion Lutheran Church (400 Ingot St, Hancock, MI 49930).
In lieu of other expressions of sympathy, the family suggests memorials in Marilyn's memory be given to either Zion Lutheran Church or Lutheran Bible Fellowship.
