It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Mary Alice Sands of Wesley Chapel, Florida, born in Indianapolis, Indiana, who passed away on August 11, 2023, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. She is survived by : her husband George Sands; her sons, Jeffrey Sands (Mariah Steele) and Ken (Natasha); her brother Warren D. Moxey (Ellen); and her grandchildren, Mason, Ethan, Mackenzie and Jillian.

In 1994, she was recognized for her contributions to the occupational therapy profession and awarded the Roster of Fellows Award.
