She was predeceased by: her parents, Thurman Prater and Myrtle Peters Prater; and her son Gary DeWayne Duncan. She is survived by: her husband Gary; her son Michael Jeremy Duncan of Lakeland, FL; her grandsons, Gary Matthew Duncan of Tucson, AZ and Christopher Michael Duncan of Greenville, SC; and her sisters, Vicki Wilder of Butler, KY and Theresa Vanover of Middlesboro, KY..
In lieu of flowers Sandys family has asked that memorial donations to the American Stroke Association in her name.
