With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of William Paul Smith of Wesley Chapel, Florida, born in Blakely, Georgia, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 12, 2026. He was predeceased by: his parents, William Standifer "Bill" Smith of Blakely and Carolyn Pullen Carter of Tallahassee. He is survived by: his wife Lisa Gall Smith; the mother of his children Angie Alexander Smith; his sons, Lex Smith (Kelly) and Lance Smith (Lori); his grandchildren, Makenna Smith Diaz, Abigail Smith Nelson, Ty Smith and Ethan Smith; his siblings, Kent Smith of Blakely, Terry Hoover and Frances Garner of Tallahassee; and his stepchildren, Chris Burns and Karen Rutledge. He is also survived by 3 great-grandchildren.
