Gary L. Cox Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gary L. Cox (Columbia City, IN), born in Alma, Michigan, who passed away on April 19, 2021, at the age of 82. Gary is pre deceased by his parents Percy and Pearl Cox and his sister Carrol Cox Aumaugher, all of Alma, MI. A loving and devoted husband, father, brother, and grandfather, he is survived by his wife of 60 years, Gayla Cox, his son Ron (Pauline) Cox of Roanoke, IN, his daughter Cindy (Myra Wahl) of Jupiter, FL his grandchildren Annie Cox, Steven (Renae) Cox, Anthony Cox, Kaylee Wahl-Cox, and Jack Wahl-Cox, sister Laura Cox VanSickle of Perrinton, MI, and great grandchildren, Bella Cox and James Cox.
Gary was a compassionate person with a love for the outdoors. He enjoyed fishing, boating, mushrooming, birdwatching, and campfires. He was an avid and stellar athlete and sports fan who put his family and friends first. He spent his career with various financial institutions in Ft. Wayne, IN and St. Louis, MO. After retirement he enjoyed traveling and collecting art and antiques.
A celebration of life will be held in Jupiter, FL and Columbia City, IN. Dates to be confirmed. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to one of the following organizations Gary supported:
