She was predeceased by: her parents, Anna Winnifred Wood Cummings (Penton) and Hubert John "Jack" Wood; her sister Joanne Evans (Wood); and her niece Jennifer Leigh Evans. She is survived by: her grandchildren, Olene and Paul; her husband Paul Gates Carroll; her daughters, Wendy Kathleen Herman Spencer (Carroll) and Amy Christine Carroll; her grandchildren, Matthew Jordan Herman and Emma Francine Herman; her brother James McBean Wood; and her nieces, Ericka Anne Craig (Evans) and Megan Nicole Wood. She is also survived by brothers- and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests sending a charitable donation in Olene's memory to the National Fund for Christian Science Nursing, a restricted fund operated by The Principle Foundation, via nfcsn.org/donate.
