He was predeceased by: his parents, Wesley Earl Dunkum Sr. and Alma Duncan Dunkum; and his former wife Elizabeth Burnette Dunkum. He is survived by: his wife Rev. Jeane Dunkum; his children, Wesley Earl "Wes" Dunkum, III of Richmond and Betty Dunkum Patten; and his stepchildren, Sarah Gibson and Eric Johnson. He is also survived by three grandchildren and four step-grandchildren.
