He was predeceased by: his parents, William "Bud" Shelton (Baldwin Shelton) and Tommie Lee Shelton; his wife Janice; his siblings, Luther, Dorothy Lee Shelton Wakefield and Mary Smith; and his children, William Shelton (Nadine), Wendy Shelton-Boykins, Wayne Shelton (Sharon) of Chesapeake, VA, Yolanda Gibson of Fort Pierce, FL and Derek Gibson (Kola) of Fort Pierce, FL..
He is survived by: his siblings, Ruth Gates of Riviera Beach, FL and MacArthur Shelton (Pastor Pearlie) of Gainesville, FL; his sister-in-law Vernell Cumpler of Boynton Beach, FL; his great grandchild Pearline Minor of Riviera Beach, FL; and his godchildren, Courtney Gollett of Orlando, FL and Charles Singletary of Ft. Pierce. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, May 23rd 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the New Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church (748 W 9th St, West Palm Beach, FL 33404). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, May 24th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. John Missionary Baptist Church (2006 A E Isaacs Ave, West Palm Beach, FL 33407).
