Though Maximo may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the echoes of his kindness, the warmth of his embrace, and the light of his enduring love.

He is survived by: his wife Holly Sawicki; his son Steve; his daughter-in-law Monica Sawicki; his grandchildren, Grayson and Madison; and his brother Carlos Sawicki.

In lieu of flowers, the family requested donations be made in Maximo's memory to the American Diabetes Association or the American Cancer Society.
