He was predeceased by: his nephew David Pool; and his parents, Harry Murphy and Janie Murphy. He is survived by: his wife Sherrie Howell Murphy; his sons, Ashley Cooper (Heather) of Bardstown, KY, John Cooper of Elmore, AL and Philip Cooper of Jamison, AL; his stepsons, Trent Bondy (Stacy) of Wewahitchka, FL, Travis Bondy of Michigan and Shannon Rhoades (Kandyce) of Panama City, FL; his caregiver Kathryn Frazier; his pets, Abby, Bella, Misty, Macie, Chloe and Josie; his siblings, Debra Pool-Fischer (Romaine) of Port St and Dwight Gabbard (Myra) of New Lebanon, OH; and his nephews, Justin Pool (Stephanie) of Port St and Ryan Gabbard (Vanessa) of Seattle, WA. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-nieces, and a great-nephew.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, May 16th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Hope Family Worship Center (2001 Garrison Ave, Port St Joe, FL 32456).
