He was predeceased by: his parents, Willie Mitchell and Mildred Louise Etheridge (Wages); and his sister Lillian Faye Etheridge. He is survived by: his wife Virginia Ophelia Shelton (Jean); his sons, William Daniel Etheridge (Brenda) of Stevensville Michigan, Michael Lindsay Etheridge (Karen) and Timothy Wade Etheridge (Linda) of Dothan Alabama; and his grandchildren, William, Mollie, Austin, Aisha and Cylas.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to St Peter's Anglican Church in Port St Joe.
