He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry G. Monk and Nevia "Jean" Newman Monk; his daughter Ashley Monk; his brother Robert; and his sister-in-law Debbie Monk.
He is survived by: his wife Robin Stafford Monk; his children, Brandi Monk and Joshua Monk (Heather); his granddaughter Cheyenne Leppert (Dustin); and his great grandchildren, Hunter Lanier, Braxton Lanier and Kinslee Leppert.
In lieu of flowers the family has asked that donations be made to Cornerstone Hospice of Lake and Sumter Counties.
