He is survived by: his wife Linda Scanlon Thumann; his sons, Brian Howard Thumann (Rachael Schneeloch) and Christopher William Thumann (Kori Hall); his grandson Mason William Thumann; his sister Gail Thumann DePietro; and his sibling's children, Donna Scanlon Kitch, Lisa Albergo Mastrorilli, Glenn Scanlon and Michael Albergo.
