She was predeceased by: her parents, Ernestine Williams and Hubert Smith; her stepfather John Williams; her daughter Dawn Verdett Smith; her grandson Morris Lee Cannon, III; and her stepson Travis Brook.
She is survived by: her husband Morris Lee Cannon, Sr.; her sons, William Fernandez Willis of Fayetteville, NC and Morris Lee Cannon, Jr. of Orlando, FL; her grandchild Genesis Cannon; her sisters, Eunice Boone of Durham, NC, Lorraine Maynard (Jerry) of Durham, NC, Thommasina Boya (Jose) of Clayton, NC and Lista Quinn (Calvin) of Fayetteville, NC; and her stepdaughters, Jacquelyn Hallmon, Sabrina Moss and Loretta Cannon of Eustis, FL. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, extended family.
In lieu of flowers, the family has established a memorial fund to assist with final expenses.
