He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Ward and Ella Louise Page Ward; his son Christopher Ward; and his siblings, Charles Ward (Page Ward) and Janet Ward.
He is survived by: his wife Barbara Ward; his children, James Ward of Bel Air, Maryland and Karen Lucker (Andy) of Edgewood, Maryland; his stepdaughter Tiena McLaughlin (Michael) of Bel Air, Maryland; his siblings, Gary Ward (Kathy) of Jarrettsville, Maryland and Gail Lowman (Toby) of Delta, Pennsylvania; his sister-in-law Nadia Ward; his caregiver Viola; and his pet Dava. He is also survived by several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren.
