With heavy hearts, we announce the death of John E. Gowland of Winter Haven, Florida, born in Buchanan, Michigan, who passed away on September 4, 2023 at the age of 97. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John Henry and Alma V. Wright Gowland; his former wife Jacqueline Gowland; his son Jan Eric Gowland; and his siblings, Joyce Gowland, Betty Gowland, Donna Foster, George Gowland and Mary Gowland.
He is survived by: his wife Violet Gowland; his son John Edward Gowland Jr. (Patricia); his daughter-in-law Deborah Gowland; his grandchildren, Jessica Hall, Jason Gowland, Sean Gowland, Kelley Christie, Meghan Gowland, John Ryan Gowland, Joseph Gowland and Jordan Gowland; and his great grandchildren, Ruby Gowland, Raina Gowland, Piper Christie, Finley Christie, Iris McKinley, Aspen Navy Gowland, Ryan Gowland, Jordan Gowland Jr., Kai Gowland, Jacob Hall and Jeremiah Hall.
