With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Marie Ellen (Boness) Atkinson in Winter Haven, Florida, born in Ottawa, Illinois, who passed away on August 15, 2023 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Oscar Boness and Flora Boness (Strobel); her husband Bill; her sisters, Mildred Serby and Blanche Lavender; and her son-in-law Dale DuPage.
She is survived by: her daughters, Denise DuPage of East Moline, IL and Diane Duggan (Kevin) of Ottawa; her grandchildren, Dan Duggan (Katie) of Ottawa, Melanie Hart (Tom) of Ottawa, Brittany Ross (David) of Ottawa, Andy DuPage (Kim) of Tremont, IL, Amy DuPage of Peoria, IL, Joe DuPage (Jaimee) of Clive, IA and Jim DuPage (Crystal) of Silvis, IL; and her friends, Betty Pandolfi and Jean Peterson. She is also survived by 21 great grandchildren; five great-great grandchildren.
