He is survived by: his wife Jan Long Ryan; his children, Jennifer Lynn Ryan Frye, Michelle Ryan Peterson, Rebecca Bartell, Casandra Jones and Ryan Bartell (Cheryl); his grandchildren, Cody Bartell, Josh Bartell (Olivia), Teddy James Peterson, III, Michael Justin Peterson, Megan Nicole Nelson, Walker, Wyatt, Riley Ann and Reagan Jan; his great grandchildren, Walker, McKenzie Laura Joy and Derek Nicholas, Jr.; and his siblings-in-law, Steve Long (Vicki) and Ann Long Webb (Douglas).
A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, July 29th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Jacksonville National Cemetery (4083 Lannie Rd, Jacksonville, FL 32218).
