She was predeceased by : her parents, George Kew and Ruth Lyn Kew; her husband Charles B. Phillips; and her brother George. She is survived by : her children, Sonya Phillips (Olugbenga Olowokure), Jennifer Phillips (Benjamin Phillips) and Charles Phillips Jr. (Karen Phillips); her grandchildren, Daniel, Hannah, Sarah, Everly and Addison; and her siblings, Elaine, Ken, Tony, Roy and Calvin.

A memorial service was held on Saturday, April 13th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Oak Ridge Funeral Care (2425 Havendale Blvd, Winter Haven, FL 33881).
