He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Barbara; his daughters, Sarah Miller (Greg) and Stephanie Smith (Cody); his grandchildren, Preston Smith, Connor Smith and Savannah Miller; his parent Shirley Zakszewski; his siblings, Perry Zakszewski (Terri), Paul Zakszewski (Kathy), Pat Zakszewski (Sue) and Ray Zakszewski; and his sister-in-law Bonnie Cieslak (Al). He was also cherished by nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to Autism Speaks or Lucky Fin Project appreciated.
