He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Whelan Schurrer and Hazel Lucille [Libkuman] Schurrer; and his wife Barbara. He is survived by: his family, Richard and Barbara; his children, Pamela [Schurrer] Puskar (Larry), Jeffrey Schurrer (Nancy) and Patricia [Schurrer] Nolff (Jay); his grandchildren, David Puskar (Leah), Becky [Puskar] Stencel (Jeff), Jon Puskar (Melissa), Mary-Elizabeth [Schurrer] Meagher (Brandon), Victoria [Schurrer] Hasselbring (Luke), Bradley Nolff (Julia) and Jacob Nolff; his great grandchildren, Luke, Zachary, Jacob Puskar, Peter, James, Julia Stencel, Mason, Avery Puskar, Finley Hasselbring, Valen and Giovanna Nolff; and his sister Johanna Schurrer.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 24th 2026 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the St. Luke's Lutheran Church (2021 W State Rd 426, Oviedo, FL 32765). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 24th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A committal service will be held on Saturday, October 24th 2026 from 11:30 AM to 11:45 AM at the St. Luke's Lutheran Church Cemetery (2021 W State Rd 426, Oviedo, FL 32765).
