He is survived by: his sons, Clifford Sheffield, Jr. of Yulee and Mitchell Sheffield of Jacksonville; his granddaughters, Rhesa Sheffield and Angel Sheffield; his sister Caroline Koch of Jesup; and his close friend Linda Crews of Yulee. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
