He was predeceased by : his mother Else Emma Kafka. He is survived by : his father Denis Kafka; his brother Ralph Kafka; his sister-in-law Jennifer Kafka; his niece Rachel; and his nephews, Ryan and Jack Kafka.

Mike often donated generously to various animal sanctuaries.
