He was predeceased by: his parents, Helen Margaret Jackson and Harry Swartwood; his stepfather Charles Henry Jackson; his brothers, Phillip Gene Jackson and Charles Henry Jackson Jr.; his stepbrother William Charles Jackson; his sisters, Lila Faye Couch and Doris Pearl Harris; his father-in-law Zefter C. Xefteris; and his brother-in-law Phillip Alexander Xefteris.
He is survived by: his wife Marie Xefteris Jackson; his daughters, Melissa Thomas (Rock Thomas), Desiree Henry (Russell Henry), Kelly Jackson (Chaparro), Suanne Jackson, Patricia Foglia (Bob Foglia) and Jean Marie Jackson; his sister Donna Rae Rubin; his mother-in-law Katherine I. Xefteris; and his siblings-in-law, Constantine Xefteris (Kathleen "Pixie") and Diane French (Lawrence "Larry").
Among his many accomplishments were contributions to the Safeguard Antiballistic Missile System and worldwide ocean cable operations.
