Barbara Duarte Obituary

With sadness, we share the passing of Barbara Duarte of Zephyrhills, Florida. Barbara, born on March 8, 1941, passed away on September 3, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

Family, friends, and acquaintances remember Barbara for her warmth, thoughtfulness, and the moments shared together. While she will be deeply missed, the influence she had on the lives around her remains. Loved ones will reflect on the time spent together. She was predeceased by: her parents, Donald Simpson and Helen Simpson; and her husband John Duarte. She is survived by: her daughters, Diane Atanasio (Andrew) of Clearwater and Jennifer Taylor of Johnston, RI; her grandchildren, Michael Atanasio (Sierra), Sean Taylor, Allyson Atanasio and Meghan Taylor; and her great grandchild Gianna Atanasio.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, October 16th 2026 at 11:30 AM at the Bushnell National Cemetery.
